Well everyone, here we are, at work, again, with nothing to do.. again.. I have a small boatload of query invoices to deal with, except of course that I can't do anything with them until the lady at Gap gets back to me, so here we are.

The weather here has been absolutely lovely the last couple days. In fact, it's been warmer here than it has been in Calgary, which is saying something considering most people think of Scotland as the land of rain and soggy sheep as a result.. Most of the time they're right of course, except for this week which has seen all of us absolutely roasting in the office, minus Hazel of course.. She had about a zillion days off stored up because it was never quiet enough in here for her to take them, so she seems to be getting rid of them all in one go (she hasn't worked a full week for about the last month). Hazel being off is of course no reason for discontentment, except that she keeps e mailing us with updates on how hot and nice it is outside and she's even sent us pictures of her back garden and flowers. Personally I thought her flowers and green grass were hideous and ugly and that the gloooooooooorious sun you can see in the pictures does nothing whatsoever for them either. I also happen to think that I'm much better off roasting away in the office without the distraction of bird song and green grass and cool breezes and sunshine and that the incessant clunking and whirring of the beast of a printer to my right is absolutely all I need to get me through the day. Hah..... yea right.. At least tomorrow is Friday and then I can do something about enjoying the weather as well. And if the weather turns nasty before then I will not be a happy bunny.. In fact.. I will be a decidedly UNhappy bunny... Hmmm... apparently it is supposed to rain this weekend. Typical.

I think I will definitely be bringing in a book tomorrow. I thought about brining one in today, but for some reason decided I didn't need to bring it in.. Mostly likely I forgot before I was able to really contemplate it properly, because if I had, I would certainly have remembered that there is absolutely NOTHING to do at the moment and I would have brought it in. It would certainly beat trying to find things to look up on the internet.. The last time it was like this I ended up buying new tunnels for my ears. I'd been meaning to get some new ones for some time and they really are verrrrrrrrrrry cool, but it does mean that between now and when last I looked they don't have any new stuff. I'll have to see about getting a picture of them put up here. They're great.. they're blue and have a hole through the middle and are squishy!!! Makes sleeping on them verrrrrrrry comfy.

Anyway, until next time my dearies.

Well everyone, the pictures have all successfully been moved to Facebook so the mass panic that was about to ensue had they been deleted from the other site has been averted (yes.. you were all verrrry worried I can tell..).

I've also added links to some new pictures, or rather, some old pictures, but the links are new. They're the Picture Showcase links and they take you to see the best of the best of the pictures I've taken over the years. So go look! Go see!! :)

I just found an oat stuck in a fold in my shirt... The fold was in one of the flaps over the top pockets (the left one to be precise) and there in the fold was.. an oat. I think it must have been from when I was snacking on cereal, which has oats in it. Now the next, and possibly more important question is... how long has it been there and who has noticed?..

So it's absolutely dead here at work (I think the phone has rung a grand total of about 5 times since I started this morning..), which is why I am now typing out a rant. Wheeeee. Donnie just came in and said that since it's so dead I can just go home if I like, so it may not be a very long rant.. we shall see.

So now of course I have to find something to rant about.. Hmmm.. well, just yesterday Chris got his formal job offer from the orthotics company in Calgary (Braceworks) so now we get to start on the work permit application process. Ohhhhh fun. Actually the father of one of Braceworks' patients is someone who works in immigration (he's either an immigration officer or an immigration lawyer) and he said he'd help them with the whole application process, so that should simplify things somewhat. :) Now I suppose we just have to make sure that I have a job.. ugh.. scary.. Every single job I've ever had before this one I never really had to try to get, they all just sort of fell into my lap. I definitely didn't enjoy the process of looking for work this time around, so I'm not really all that enthusiastic to do it again when I go back. It's also possible I'm not really looking forward to it because I'll also be looking for a job to keep on a rather more permanent basis, whereas over here it was only ever going to be for 5 months, so if I didn't like it, oh well, no matter. I know I can just change jobs if I don't like whatever I find to start, but I don't really want to plan on doing that. Well, we'll see how it goes. At least I'll definitely have my job coaching back and if everything goes horribly, horribly wrong I can just take more classes there or see if I can work for the Western Centre again for a wee while.

Now then.. what else have I been up to.. Oh yes, Chris and I went out stationary researching.. I say researching because we didn't actually buy anything yet, but we very likely will be shortly. Now what are we wanting stationary for you might ask?.. Wedding invitations!!! :) As soon as we know roughly how many invites we'll have to make we'll go out and buy the paper and then Hazel said I can actually just print them all off here at work (the other option is waiting until we go see Chris' parents again and use their printer) which would be most convenient.

Ooh and Chris' parents themselves are actually coming up to see us on Sunday. They're both going off to Africa, Burkina Faso I believe, for a short term mission so this is them seeing us before they take off. Hopefully they don't think they'll be kidnapped or anything while they're down there and THAT'S why they want to see us before they go.. :s Still, it'll be nice to see them again and it gives Chris and I a chance to try out a wee restaurant up near the Culloden battle field. Apparently this restaurant looks like the most dodgy place ever, but the food is amazing, so we shall see.

Anyway, I suppose that this is about enough of a rant to be getting on with, until next time my avid readers.

Yes, yes, I know.. it's been aaaaaaaaaaaaages since I posted anything, but I really haven't had all that much time for ranting (between working and hanging out with Chris I don't seem to have much capacity for remembering to even go on the internet at all.. It's been weeks since I was last on msn..).

Anyway, just a quick note to let the... hmmm... 4? people who read this know that Kodak has informed me that if I don't buy something from them by July 25, they're going to delete all of my pictures off their site. Not so good seeing as I have about 80 links on the right side of the screen.. Soooooo I'm moving all of my pictures to Facebook. The links will still work, they'll just take you to Facebook instead of Kodak. If all goes well no one will ever even know that I've moved everything, but just in case something goes haywire, now you'll know why and can hold off on the muskrats dead or otherwise..

I think I meant to do this a while ago, or at least put my pictures on Facebook as well as here, but never really got around to it. Now I have to because I don't want alllllllllll of my pictures posted as there are simply way too many and I don't really feel like looking through them all over again (takes a couple days.. seriously..) so this way I can see which ones were on to start and only upload those particular ones. Quite handy I must say.

So, that is about all. I shall try and put some sort of update on the second installment of my Scottish adventures soon. Cheerio!

P.S. The Scots do actually say that.. or, some of them do anyway. Although mostly I think it's cheery-bye.. Crazy Scots...
